Round the Corner
Betsy’s first “Corner” opened in 2012 in historic downtown Aiken. From the tin ceiling, to the crowded tables, to loud conversations and laughter, it was indeed a throw-back diner. In 2019, the restaurant relocated to a much larger building just “round” the corner on Park Avenue.
My aim is for you to feel at home when dining with us.
Many say the secret to happiness and success is to find what you are passionate about and do it.
A true "foodie," culinary pursuits have always been passions of mine. My love affair with food began at an early age when, with the aid of a footstool to enable me to see over the kitchen counter, I began frying chicken. Fried chicken is just one of the many recipes learned in my mother's kitchen that I still use today, but most have evolved into a lighter version of my mother's Southern cooking! My aim is you will feel at home when dining with us at Betsy's round the Corner. See you round the Corner!
With two floors in our Park Avenue location, we have expanded our services. The main floor still reflects the original concept with 50’s-style booths and an old-fashioned soda fountain counter where customers can twirl on retro stools while enjoying hand-made shakes and ice cream treats.
Venture up the stairs or take the elevator to the second floor and you’ll be surrounded by an industrial décor featuring downtown’s largest full-service bar, tables for dining, groupings for lounging, and rooms that are available for private events.
At Betsy’s we strive to continue providing the best food and service that Aiken has come to expect. Whether upstairs or down, customers can enjoy full table service from a menu of homemade soups and salads, hot dogs, burgers, specialty sandwiches hot off the grill, daily Blue Plate (just like Mama made), frosty shakes and ice cream treats at our old-fashion soda fountain. You can now also indulge in a frosty craft beer, a crisp glass of wine, or our famous “Boozy Shakes” with your meal.
Look for us just ‘round the corner on Park Avenue in beautiful downtown Aiken.
